Pizza night (afternoon and evening)

We will start the afternoon by chopping wood and kindling and using it to start a roaring fire in the pizza oven (a traditional hand-made pizza oven).

Whilst the oven is heating, we will grind some flour and make some dough - we're starting from the very basics here.

Whilst the dough is proving, we will forage for some tasty pizza toppings and then we will be ready to make pizza.

By now the oven will be somewhere between 450 and 600 degrees so we will push the fire to one side, slide the pizzas in and around 5 minutes later we will be feasting like kings.

We don't have alcohol so if you want a bottle, you should bring one with you, if you want to share your favourite tipple with your hosts, you should bring two.

Cheese making

Learn how to make traditional goats milk cheese in a traditional manner - but first you have to catch the goat!

After first learning how to milk a goat, we will learn how to turn the milk into cheese and whilst nature is taking its course and the curds and whey are separating we can forage for some fantastic flavourings for our cheese.

Tegs and I like wild garlic but we have an abundance of herbs growing and many of them can be found in the woodland if you know where to look.

At the end of the day you can take your cheese home with you or if you fancy you can use it to top a most delicious pizza (see above)

Table for two

Take social distancing to a new level and dine under the shade of a giant Beech tree at 'table for two'

In the middle of the woodland, far away from the hustle and bustle of everyday life, you will find a single table with two chairs where you can sit and enjoy the peace and tranquillity that the woodland has to offer.

The menu is basic and there is only one dish per day however there are two choices, vegetarian or with meat.

The meals will be delivered to the table in a basket suspended on a zip wire and when you have dined, just pay what you think the meal was worth.

Bring your own drinks.
